Flagpole installation process
Brandywine Flags is a premier retailer of flagpoles and accessories, as well as a provider of installation and repair services. We have many poles in stock for immediate pick-up, shipment, and installation.
Flagpole installation services typically involve setting up flagpoles for residential, commercial, or public spaces. These services can include site assessment, pole selection, proper anchoring, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Brandywine flags also offer additional lighting installation and custom flag designs.
Installing an American flagpole involves several steps to ensure it stands securely and proudly:
- Choose the Right Flagpole: Based on your needs, Brandywine Flags can recommend flagpole material and height suitable for your location and weather conditions. Aluminum is lightweight and corrosion-resistant, while fiberglass is ideal for windy areas.
- Pick the Installation Site: We ensure the site is free from obstructions like trees or power lines and that the soil should is firm enough to support the pole.
- Prepare the Ground: We use our machinery to dig a hole deep enough to secure one-third of the flagpole’s height. Add gravel for drainage and mix concrete to anchor the pole if required.
- Set the Pole: We then set the flagpole in the hole, ensuring it’s level. Pour the concrete around the base and allow it to cure.
- Attach the Flag: Once the concrete has set, we attach the halyard (rope) and flag to the pole.
